Colleges

Please click on the pages of the colleges below you have applied for to see your next steps. Each college will provide you with your own individual log-in details to access study materials in preparation for their courses during the remainder of this summer term.

Apprenticeships

Not planning on going to University? Consider an apprenticeship where you earn while you learn!

Click this Careers link on the CtK website for links to all post-16 pathways. 

Some apprenticeships can start directly from leaving school. Check out the latest vacancies on the Direct Gov apprenticeship website. You can enter the area of work you are interested in and your postcode to display the vacancies near you.

You can also register with training providers who offer vacancies in many different sectors. All training providers are offering virtual support to applicants.

Careers Advice and Guidance

Mrs Creeley, our Careers Guidance Leader, has sent you all an email outlining the steps you could be taking at this point with respect to:

  • registering with training providers and viewing their current vacancies
  • registering with the gov.uk apprenticeship site
  • completing your CV and/or Cover letter
  • completing application forms for work placements/apprenticeships etc

Personal progression: 

If you feel you want to brush up on aspects of missed KS3 or GCSE learning, learn a new skill or have an interest in some specialist learning (there are units available on a variety of specialist skills development, like independent living, or language and communication for example) the Oak National Academy has resources on all subjects at all levels that are free to access!
